That stinks. My 2007 CRV had a service bulletin years ago where the dealer replaced the A/C compressor clutch, still blows cold.
In Sandown try All Japanese Imported Auto Services.

Those things will also be huge deciding factors. As well as the support system that both parents have. If mom is moving with her bf to a place where she knows no one, while dad stays here and has a support system of family and friends to help (even her own family being here helps him), the judges will take that into consideration as well.

AC failure is common on civics because the condenser sits unprotected in the front grill in front of the radiator..
It could be a bad compressor but you might just have a hole in the condenser from road debris. If that's the case, you'll need a new condenser (aftermarket is fine) refill the system with the correct amount of PAG oil and a refrigerant recharge.
Any average shop should be more than capable of doing the job. Hardest part is taking the front bumper off.

Yup, it was in my backyard! I had to walk across it after the '93 Storm of the Century to get my hungover girlfriend (now wife) saltines and ginger ale.

Old timer (especially for Reddit). Bet you had the pleasure of walking across the railroad trestle when you could fall through it!

There’s a Honda/Acura master technician in Pelham. He replaced the failed AC unit in my 2006 CRV back in 2011. Gary Wang, good guy. I haven’t been there in many years, but I’ve been going to this guy for Honda service since 1998.

I work remote and am in Hollis, NH. We got a lot of nature trails and a very active Snowmobile club that helps maintain trails.
Also not terribly far from Rt 3 (Everett Turnpike).
Internet is pretty good, no complaints :)

I have one, I work in insurance (2 weeks of licensing training my employer paid for). I got to bring my job with me to a state that doesn’t even require auto insurance. Though i don’t know if they would have hired me living in NH initially, I got hired in FL and moved about 9 months in.
It’s gonna be a lot harder to obtain a job in cybersecurity that’s fully remote, but for the time being i’m saving a lot of money and mental anguish getting out of florida.

Too cheap to hire maintenance / security staff to go around after hours and make sure everything's ok?
Added benefit- they could have the janitor teach "Window Closing During Sub-Zero Weather 101"
