I went to accomplished auto about a month ago for inspection and they were quick. Offered $10 off.

That place is the best. Years ago I had my car inspected by them when they were on Loudon rd and east side. Only thing found was the license plate lite. Gave him 5 bucks for it. In a few minutes he came back and said it was just loose and did not need replacement. I told him to keep the 5 bucks. Completely honest shop.

I'd recommend grappone. I am always very well taken care of at Mazda/Ford, and I would imagine their other spots are similar.

In all honesty, I usually do 90 percent of my car repairs myself. I will go to Valvoline for inspections cuz they are super quick. If they recommend any repairs, get the print out from them, walk into a mechanic and just be confident and ask to have just what is needed repaired. A lot of shops will see a person as dollar signs but if you learn some lingo of what needs to be repaired so they don't try to fuck you over. No the cabin air filter doesn't need to be replaced, same as the engine air filter, unless it's eaten to shit from mice. Get repaired exactly what needs to be repaired, nothing more.

There is always a few days per winter where we dip into negative temps for a day or two. But the challenge here is the sustained negative temps and windchills, never mind factoring in what the mountains are seeing. That is unusual. Tomorrow morning will likely be the coldest temps I’ve ever witnessed in 40+ years here.
