I have “good” friends I also “like” with public facing projects I support. But I’d absolutely remove all doubt before speaking on their behalf - it can taint public perception going forward. A lot of comments made are not just “misunderstandings” but missed opportunities to capitalize on dialogue.

I know $35 a slice sounds cheap but we’re talking about a product that’s actually easier to grow than tomatoes. It can come down a lot more and still be profitable.

Meanwhile the private dispensary’s you love so much are gouging us cause we’re used to paying more when it was illegal.

It is just a plant in the end.

I am doubtful this plan will work well in NH. People I talk to about dispensaries care about the product and service they provide. ME has a whole heap of quality dispensaries mere minutes from the NH seacoast, some with their own white labeled top-quality bud that sells for $35 1/8oz before volume discounts. I don’t see NH being able to siphon enough traffic by competing on price nor quality.

I could be wrong, and would be pleasantly surprised if that is the case.

Innovation costs money, just like in any industry or process. These dollars represent NH's effort to create some new process to attack what I think is the state's most pressing need, creating affordable housing.

On this issue and legislation, I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree.
