Classic cross country skiing is incredibly cheap if you buy older used equipment

Birding is fun! Lots of odd ducks (literally) come down from the arctic during the winter to our coastal waters. It’s also a great activity year-round, obviously.

Look up South East Land Trust trails. Very easy to get started with.
Explore NH. Portsmouth, Exeter, Meredith, Wolfborough, Littleton. Hanover, Peterborough, North Conway, Jackson and Lincoln are all great towns to visit. I'd also say NH restaurants are amazing.

Hello! I (24M) don’t have a spouse, but! I also could use more friends and things to do! I live on the north shore in Mass but I am in Portsmouth/Dover area often

It rarely gets cold enough to tax the new cold weather systems. They run well until even in freezing conditions.
With that said, anything in the negatives is going to be hard even on a new cold weather module. Always better to have a back up system that can tackle a polar vortex. Even better if the back up does not require electricity or if it can be run off a small generator. (Wood, pellet, petrol)

Snowshoeing, indoor rock climbing, hiking. Check out the local papers like the "Hippo" for other events going on.

What sucks is I had renters insurance for 7-8 years from when I moved here b/c I lived in crappy places/sketchy places. But I moved into a nicer place (I think it may be considered a luxury condo) and figured I could do without insurance since it was a new complex. So I didn't pay it when it renewed and now here I am. Go me.

Our heat went out and they never sent maintenance to fix it, even though we requested them.

Where would I find info of people who can make sure the property company is doing things correctly?

Yes the property manager absolutely knows. Several places flooded in this complex. My things are mostly drying out and they started demoing walls today

Dude. No renter's insurance? I learned that the hard way, too. In Orono, ME the dumb dipshit diagonally below me started a fire by putting a candle on a wooden chair and then taking a shower. Place went up FAST and I just barely got out with my cat and ferret. Fire Dept got there quick and contained the fire. One dude lost his dog. Place was on fire and it took, like, three firefighters to hold his ass down 'cause he WAS GOING into the building to save him. In the end, my apartment was only partially damaged by fire but whole apartment filled with smoke and ruined all my shit that wasn't in bins. No insurance, never again.

What does the property manager say?
Hope you have renter's insurance.
You didn't get -40 temps.

If you don't like killing animals (which I totally understand) you can always do catch-and-release for fishing.

Then get a medical card and stop whinnying - I’m not from here and knew no one when I moved and I had no problem.
Also there’s no much thing as a recovered addict - you are in recovery for the rest of your life as am I

Other than homebody type stuff, if you're a musician there are a bunch of community bands in the region which are almost always looking for fresh blood, even if it's someone who needs to blow the dust out of their instrument. If we were having a normal winter there'd be cross country skiing and snowshoeing within easy reach.

Hiking some good boots and micro spikes. Also drinking some beers around a fire outside.

Dude I'm 31 I'm not going anywhere near a school lol sorry. I'll take my chances elsewhere than accosting random teenagers asking if there parents grow 🙄 And I don't know any cultivators or caregivers or anyone for that matter I have a very small circle because I'm a recovered addict, I wiped the slate clean and I don't talk to any of my old "people" even the ones who grew and smoked bud, because almost everyone ended up on dope

I'm sorry. I'm not sure where elm Grove is, but if it's in southern NH and you need any food, I don't mind getting you a gift card for a local super market.
Good luck.
