Everybody who wants this should get together and start a 503c whatever and fund it.
We can stick it to the fascist legislators and show them the power of the working class.

I'm a bitter gremlin who feeds off the negative emotional energy generated by traffic jams. What's your excuse?

They’ve already said this is market rate housing. Not section 8.
The owners will be making half a million dollars a year on this project.

I feel bad for the kids that lost their dirtbike track. My company cleared the land and There was literally a race track back there.

That's absolutely terrifying and potentially deadly.

Yes. Deceptively dangerous. Do not attempt unless you are serious about hiking and are well versed in survival skills.

Insurance companies are in the business of making money—not the business of giving out free money to poorly maintained complexes.
Most people will get less out of the deal than what they paid in. The idea is that you'll play smaller sums over time, but they'll take care of you if the big one hits. For home owners the option is to either pay $1000/yr for every year you own the home, or pay ~$250k to rebuild your home should it burn to the ground. Insurance companies make enough off of the majority to pay for the minority of cases which do happen.
tl;dr: Always have insurance if you can't afford to pay for something out of pocket.

Natural gas about $300-500/mo in the winter. Electric runs $100-200. We had oil last winter and it cost us double what the natural gas is. 2500sq ft, 60 year old home. We have a well and fairly robist filtration system. Hot water is gas off of the boiler, stove, oven, and dryer are all electric

Just a piece of advice: if you’re a novice hiker, try to go with someone in case you get into trouble. Even easy trails can have pitfalls, and if you break something it’s good to be with someone who can help you.

Possibly. The black flies come out around Mother's Day, and crossings can be swollen with melt water. Really depends and what your are looking to do. If you are flexible there are lots of good options.

clearly this project was approved with this density and variances due to the agreement re: rent control (which will probably end up making them section 8 housing eventually).

some trustafarian jerkoff "contractor" and his Karen-esque "architect" wife (don't quit your day job selling Arbonne, hun!). They seem like fakes on all levels, not to mention complete attention whores with the endless PR about this shithole.
