I was born and raised in NH, but recently moved west to Colorado for work. I can’t even begin to describe how much I miss NH. Family, Friends, Food and Familiarity, I miss it all.
NH is not perfect, but I will always think of it as “home.” Even living 2000 miles away

Hot water heaters are always running if you are using the hot water or not, it’s still trying to keep the water hot.

I moved from VT to NM, and it is beautiful out here but of course I miss the green and all the lakes and rivers. The southwest is so different from NE, enjoy the new sights and culture, and remember NE will always be there if you ever want to return for a visit or for good.

Arizona is a lovely state. You're within driving distance from some lovely places. I hope you enjoy it as much as you enjoyed NH.

Water heater yes. I think I showered there once and maybe did dishes as I was staying in an Airbnb. I don’t think I turned on the electric heater. I had gas and use that as well.

Good luck. (Insert southwest state) is where everyone from California is moving driving the cost of living through the roof. They’re bringing their California politics with them too. You think NH is getting expensive, wait until get out there.

Reckless driving is a felony. 25 mph over the speed limit, how many times per week do you do that on the highway? Same with popping a wheelie. Technically you could lose your right to bear Arms over that. Too many things are felonies and it should be very difficult to lose your constitutional right to own firearms.

Is there a water heater, well pump, sump pump, or dehumidifier? Any of these can make the meter spin. Also, if you had the heat off and ran it later to warm the place back up, the usage will be greater.
Also read your own meter and compare that to the reading on your bill.

Strafford, on the south slope of Blue Job mountain.
Recently noticed a faint acrid smell(like Chlorine-ish), and sinuses have been acting up the last 2-3 days. Hard to differentiate from when the upwind neighbor is using their pellet stove, and some of the smoke wafts into my house - except it's been warm-ish lately, and the neighbor only seems to use their stove "hard" when it's really cold.
Whatever it is, post-nasal drip and general sinus/allergic irritation is new.

What’s the point? We already know every water source is contaminated with PFAS. 500 miles away, a little chemical warfare agent isn’t gonna be noticeable in the chemical stew we’re all existing within.
Things are just starting to fall apart. It’s not gonna get better. It’s too far gone. Go do something fun this weekend instead. Memento mori.

The fact that this doesn't show any air quality disturbance from a burning chrmical train derailment in Ohio is........concerning.

Yeah, all the car exhaust and wood stove smoke gets trapped by the inversion and chokes everyone out. It blows. It’s why SLC has some of the worst air quality in the country. The lake is forecast to be gone in less than five years because the morons keep growing alfalfa for export in the desert, and when that happens, it’ll be the worst in the world. It’s another Aral Sea disaster happening in real time before our eyes, but capitalism will get the new record time.

In the 10th Circuit, so, while that's some nice precedent that could fuel a positive decision nationally if a similar case ever gets appealed up to the Supreme Court, this has no bearing on NH right now whatsoever.
