Somewhat strange question, but a friend is looking to rehome their dog. I have fallen hopelessly and completely for this dog and would love to take her, but I am in a lease for 3 more months that can't accept pets due to a roommate's allergies. After that, I would easily be able to adopt this wonderful pup and want nothing more. I'm trying to figure out an idea for these next 3 months of my lease so that I can take her once I am off it. Any suggestions at all? Boarding options are really expensive, but I still might have to go for it.

Humane societies and rescue groups often have lists of fosters available. You could also inquire at your veterinary office for potential fosters.

Damn, that’s too big. 😕 I would foster her for a small fee +dog food, but I have a small apartment that doesn’t allow dogs over 40lbs. Maybe you could find someone with a yard that would do the same.

Just get everything in writing regarding a timeline, how much money you are providing for boarding services, and that it is still YOUR dog. I wish you all luck!
