What reasons do you give people when they ask you why people in NJ are assholes?

Born and raised in Burlington County. Living in Rhode Island now. A lot of people I talk to here bring up that people from NJ are kinda rude, standoffish, asshole-ish (if that’s even a word). I can’t say I disagree that much but I usually say that people in NJ just like to mind their own business as opposed to the small town vibe here in Rhode Island.
