Maybe Hudson County. Your close to NY. If your not picky you can find a place that's not to expensive like WNY, UC,North bergen. Your close to Hoboken, which is very social. Not to far from Jersey city, mega city. Busses on every block. Trains everywhere. There are also other cities near by that are less chaotic but still near everything.

750-800k is our budget. Yeah we really don’t want to move to such a pricey area but we’re just trying to find the best school districts for the kids. Originally from NJ actually, moved to pa for fellowship, then pandemic hit and really messed up job market in nj and we’re finally looking into moving back to be closer to family.

Nothing wrong with Mendham but it is pricey. What’s your house price range and how much house are you hoping that would get you ?
Edit: Mendham is known as a great town. Median house price is $775,000 but if that’s in your budget go for it.

That’s interesting, I didn’t think HOAs were common in this part of the state. $500/month seems like an awful lot. I feel like you could probably find something just as good in the area without having to pay that $500.

I was there yesterday, no it’s not. Lakewood has a ton of problems, but littering isn’t one of them.

Ah yes. The good Ole New Jersey Giants. NJ's favorite home team. Just like the New Jersey Jets.

I live in a shore town and the litter is more of an issue here than anywhere I’ve ever lived before - people throw trash into my yard. I’ve never lived in a place in NJ as densely populated as my neighborhood though, and there was a lot less foot traffic where I’ve lived before, so that explains a lot. Definitely still sucks though!

The game was so one sided it wasn’t even fun to watch. I was hoping for the Giants to be lining up for a field goal to win the game. Instead 21-0 at halftime. Yeesh

If you’re looking for upscale look at Mountain Lakes. A little less pricey, look at Denville, Rockaway or Randolph.
