They evaluate your usage few times a year and than charge accordingly. $25 is very low, so you will most likely be charged more once the account it evaluated.

It fluctuates all the time, and if you don't use it, they won't randomly charge you for it just for the sake of charging.

Once.. At the start.... They deduct your tolls from this and recharge (to ±$25)at a certain point ($10?) Depending on your routine travels. Then they charge $1/ month. This works against your discounts, but with the cost of mailings, it's still worthwhile.

Don't forget a lot of small towns piggie back on the larger towns for schools so Wharton goes to Morris Knowles or something and mount Arlington/landing goes to Roxbury

Your summons is sent 9 weeks prior to your jury week. The term of service is listed on the green postcard and white summons, hence why the orientation can be one day and the trial the next. Students can only be excused by the judge, but your service can be deferred. If you already emailed the jury office just wait for them to give you a new date.
