Close proximity to a big international airport. Trying to travel from many other states is a nightmare of long drives and connecting flights. I'd miss close proximity to things in general. I'm not in the most ideal or trendy/happening part of NJ but even so I can be in NYC in an hour, Philadelphia in an hour and a half, the beach in a little over an hour, hiking along the Appalachian trail within an hour. In a bigger state you could drive for hours and hours past absolutely nothing.

Sandy hook was pretty busy this weekend with people looking for seals. I've never seen so many people on Gunnison with clothes on.

Edit: Actually, I think the oceanside cars were probably looking for birds and the Bayside cars looking for seals, but I don't know for sure.

I lived there for several years and found it to be a nice area, but there were a lot of empty businesses and storefronts and it was getting a little run down. But it was after Sandy so hopefully that has started to change and rebuild.

I agree I’ve noticed so much more liter around Monmouth and Ocean county since just after COVID. It’s insane and horrific. I pick up tons of garbage everywhere I go too having to clean up after slobs, not once have I intentionally littered. Lived here all my life and it’s so sad to see.

This guy posted in r/legaladvice not really looking for advice, but looking for the answer he wants "How do I get out of this jury duty service?". Obviously he didn't get the answers he wanted and got properly roasted for it. This guys needs to grow up quick.

Phillipsburg used to have a great mall. Last time I was there it was completely shut down except for the kohl's though.

Phillipsburg and Belvidere are so depressing lol. Very far from most malls.

Well missing Jury duty would be far worse than missing the first day, e-mail your teachers and explain the situation so that they know you have no choice on not being in class

15 Fox Place is awesome, but better for larger groups like 8-12 guests. Most of thier best stuff is served family style for sharing. If I’m in Jersey City I like Laico’s for Italian on a date night

Why did you only start dealing with this the day before? This is a self created problem. They send the notice in advance. My jury duty coincided with the birth of my children and I was excused weeks before the summons date.
