Litter is cement, it theoretically could clog your toilet/sewage pipes, which means thousands of dollars of repairs, cat poops have parasites that will get into water systems eventually reach ocean and kill dolphins, it was suggested not to directly dump into toilet after study done in Bay Area California.

We moved here in 2020. We like everything except the property taxes.

We used to live in CT which had property taxes at like half the rates of most towns in NJ, but still the same quality schools, snow cleanup, and waste management. Hoping for the same for NJ.

Those police officers who acted wrongly will be penalized to the highest extent of the law . There has already been enough protests with mobs rioting and destroying their cities. Where did I say not to protest I said what good is protesting another cities in another state with different laws and rules going to do? NJ requires cops to have 4 year education and has other things most other states don’t have.

The mom in the second home should have just practiced a closed door policy during working hours in her office and at bedtime in her daughters room. That’s what I do. Cats are brilliant about understanding boundaries (and pushing on them).

My husband’s father used to give all of his family’s pets away if there were small infractions in tidiness or if someone forgot (once) to take the animal for a walk. It was a control mechanism.

The whole family ended up being very passive aggressive towards the Dad - lots of therapy required by my husband on that end…

I wish I could upvote your comment 50x. I've heard comments like that and will correct people when I have the energy. I had started to type a very long response full of examples I have personally witnessed over the last few years, but I'm not going to change any minds here. Racist people are close minded shitheads. I only correct them when they say something to me personally. I cannot tolerate racist people thinking I'm part of their club just because I'm white.
