It always snows after the bright yellow forsythia bushes bloom in the spring so at least we have that to look forward to.

That really opens up a lot, but in June you are competing with wedding season for restaurants so I'd start calling around now if you settle on that.
-Someone mentioned Silverball, and not sure on capacity there but worth a call. Yestercades also has parties but not sure if they do 40, the flyer has pricing for a 15 person party.
-If she's into it and the ABC regulations allow, a number of good breweries are around. There are a couple of brewpubs too, and they are less event restricted I think.
-Depending on your likes, 40 people might be able to get a small party boat, but I think you are a little under budget for that edit: under budget with food and other party stuff. Just checked and found a half day boat doing $75 per without any group rate.
-Really more geared towards kids parties, but Ocean County College has a planetarium that you could couple with a big restaurant dinner.
-Those trampoline parks have corporate packages that might be more aligned to an adult party than the kid's bday party.
-There's also those hatchet throwing places that are fun at least in smaller groups.
-Both county park systems have some great facilities for an old fashioned BBQ at the park.

Litter genie easy roll is really great. I scoop more often and waste a lot less plastic. I was skeptical of getting locked in to a blades/razor situation, but I will continue to buy the bags from litter genie b/c they fit just right. We got ours like 5 months ago and still haven’t run out of the first set of bags.
[edit: I misspoke and I have easy roll, not xl]

Awww.
When I first got mine, he hid under my bed. Including the whole next day when I had to go into the office and leave him alone (I felt horrible about that and wanted to cry and leave the office early, but they wouldn't let me). I finally got him out once I came home with some more food.
The next day (Saturday) he hid under every thing he could hide under. But as a single woman with no kids or prior pets... not everything had been cleaned for a while prior to that. So I'd go, move the object hid under, swept and mopped it.
Did he go back to that freshly clean place? No. He went under something else that I realized hadn't been cleaned in 100 years. So I'd go, sweep/vaccuum and mop. He'd find somewhere else.
About halfway through thoroughly giving my place a good cleaning, it occurred to me the lil asshole was not only doing this on purpose... I think this was his way of critisizing my housekeeping skills. Because once everything was all clean... he sat next to me.
Well played, you lil asshole. Well played.

I find it inconvenient when mine wants to lay on lap while I'm working (I WFH). Then I have to draft documents or answer emails while tying over his head. Finally I have to move him and tell him I need to work and if he wants to get fed, he needs to move so mama can earn money.

My Cocker Spaniel, although not a cat, is black. When we met the rescue they said they had a bunch of people that wouldn’t take him because he’s black. That’s their loss though, because he is such an amazing dog! If only he’d stop bullying our new puppy that’s twice his size lol.

I have an orange/white tabby and wear dark clothes. Sometimes I wish I'd gotten a black cat. At least his shedding fur would blend into my clothes.

Middletown is a weird town. It’s like parts of multiple towns with multiple zip codes rolled into one.
By the way, if you’re checking this place out… it’s absolutely delicious!

You get what you pay for.
Wife decided this year she wanted a photographer for our holiday card. I said that sounds like a waste of money. She found a groupon or the like, for 250 bucks.
The pictures were absolutely terrible and we didn't use them.
