Reply to Is Central Jersey, specifically Old Bridge/Matawan/Marlboro area considered boring? by deluxepepperoncini
Boring in what regard? Compared to a bigger city like Jersey City, yeah. Most of CNJ is middle class suburban 9-5 families, middle aged people. There's not really party areas like the equivalent of Bourbon St.
However there's plenty to do on the weekends- hiking, golfing, the shore, etc.

I never use Uber or Lyft when I'm alone. Only when I'm with my husband or friends. If this story is factual, my heart goes out to the victim, and I hope this criminal is caught before he hurts someone else.

Well if your loans are public then you shouldn't have a problem. Public school teacher 100% qualifies. Seriously it can be a life saver. Look into it again.

True! We need to venture out more but it’s tougher with a 2 year old. Can’t wait for the spring weather so we can go to the beaches.

If you're bored in CNJ, you'll be bored anywhere. You're close enough to NYC, Philly, and the beach. There's a ton of great restaurants all over the place and many nearby towns with a lot to offer.

I mean, if you have friends… you could stay home and have fun. Or go to a bar or be anywhere and have fun.
Boring isn’t the town, it’s your situation

That’s awesome for you. Not being sarcastic. For me, it’s been a different story. I’m a public school teacher and I’m not having the same success.

Italian Village Pizza in Madison my go-to and I don’t see it mentioned here yet. Nicky’s firehouse pizzeria is good as well. Krust kitchen is a good one if you’re looking for very hearty/interesting pizzas

Not a winter person, but these snowless, warm winters tend to drag on into late April. I would rather have a proper winter and be done with it by mid March.

I want SEASONABLE weather...winters where the temp is generally in the upper 20s-30s most days, with cold snaps every few weeks and a couple of warmer days in the 40s sprinkled in. Semi regular snowfall with a larger accumulation event once or twice a month.

It's a bad idea. The cat litter is meant to absorb moisture and that can quickly lead to a clog. Especially if it's down further in the sewer pipe, you could be in for some serious problems.
