It’s pretty crazy that people are forgetting that literally exactly a year ago yesterday we had a massive snowstorm.

I don't like an awful lot of American culture or politics, which I largely find divisive, cruel, reactionary, and anti-intellectual. I sure as fuck don't identify with "don't say gay" Florida or "more guns, but no birth control" Texas.
So I suppose I identify more as a Jersey Girl, if I have to identify by country or region at all.

Loving it as well. Sincerely, a Western NY transplant that used to see 6 feet of snow average a winter.

NJ. You could even travel 45 minutes within the state and feel outta place elsewhere. How much more for the entire country?

Certainly possible! The climate transition between today / tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday look fun.

Our planet is not dying, we are just slowly killing the people, plants and animals that live on this planet.

It would be a real struggle until your husband starts getting a paycheck. I highly recommend he find a job before you all move here.
Couples making 65k a year in NJ qualify to get affordable housing but that's only for US citizens. I think they'd also qualify for food assistance but I'm not positive about that.

Definitely Jersey. I was in California last year for a week and it was definitely.. different. The people are.. different.

NJ unless I’m talking to someone not from North America. And even then, I’ll probably say I’m from NJ over the US

Outer suburbs of Philadelphia, perhaps... Or older inner suburbs.
Parts of the shore also.
The rest is town by town

$65.000 combined?
Maybe, but only if you have no debt whatsoever. You won’t be able to put any money away for savings / retirement. And you will also have to rely on public transportation, and live in a very modest apartment.

I always try and identify with NJ and show pride because more times than not we’re the forgotten state. It’s always PA or NY getting the attention, never NJ. I like to remind people that we exist and for the most part it’s a pretty pleasant place and the stereotypes aren’t true.

I literally came to this subreddit just to see if there were any threads on this, lol. No snow days. Maybe two weeks of single digit weather then back to the 30s and 40s. I meeean, I'm not complaining at all but it has been like this for years now. Gonna do more research on the 'La Nina Weather Pattern' that someone else mentioned.

I left new jersey 20 years ago. I've lived all over the states and the world. Still havent crossed out my jersey tattoo.
Granted, it is so faded and out of shape at this point it could be mistaken for the Korean peninsula.
I'm still hoagie strong

When I lived in Chatham, my two go-to places were Armenio's down the street from the library in Chatham Boro, and especially Hickory Tree in that shopping center in Chatham Twp.
