The two parties are all we have right now. Independent voters give up their right to vote in party sponsored primaries, so go ahead be independent and give up your right to choose candidates...Good for you?

Semi related note, what's up with Uber Eats 'drivers' listing as bicycle but showing up in a car. Are they gaming the system somehow?

I have to go from Hackensack to Rochelle Park and back twice a week. 2.1 miles. No highways, just Essex Street. I allow 30 minutes and sometimes make it with a minute to spare. Being late costs me money.

Look on the NJCL, specifically Avenel and Woodbridge. I had a house across from the new apartments at the Avenel train station and they started at 1700-1800 and the train to NYC is 40 mins

I agree that these people need to move to FL or TX or NC or whatever state fits their current tax situation. I would like to pay less in taxes but I am comfortable enough now that I am willing to let my tax dollars go to help others less fortunate. That may change at some point, in which case I'll move and not try to encourage 8 million people to change for me.

I had to go cross town to JFK when Obama was speaking at the UN. 7 hours and I got a ticket for blocking the box.

Central Nj or shore region.
On the other side, is the Raritan Bay, A.K.A. The queens necklace for how it lights up at night

Really depends where you stay, south vs north. Great options in both, if you are doing a beach vacation vs staying inland.
Check websites like Mommy Poppins or fun new jersey for so many lists of options and events.
My personal bias, but a little more money, check out South/central Jersey for a nice beach getaway. Cape May has a 'free'(optional donation at entry) zoo that is really nice, military museum with planes nearby, wineries for the adults, nice shopping. You can drive a bit to hit Story book Land, 8 years old is right on the cusp of Story Book Land being boring so depends what he likes, obviously Six Flags has bigger rides. Diggerland If he likes anything to do with construction trucks. There is the Popcorn zoo, where you throw popcorn at animals but it is small, South Jersey also has The funny Farm which although a little muddy, the animals are all rescues and they are everywhere walking around and you can feed and pet them. Philly zoo is also very large with the Camden Aquarium there as well.
You can still drive a bit for North Jersey and NYC but if I were personally going on vacation to relax I would look further south.

I’ve thought about getting a French press for home again. I have this dumb fucking machine that does k-cups and has also the carafe but I can never get the scoops right. It doesn’t make the coffee good enough.
