Yes. Both parties are bought and sold by giant special interests. What ideological wing has been pushing for lower regulation, privatization and increased corporate freedom over the years? This is not be a party problem (although one is definitely worse), it's a problem with economic conservatism and campaign contributions.

Avalon by the sea and egg harbor are very low key, family friendly. (Much less going on at night, less noise) but they're expensive.

Also they say egg harbor isn't named for the rotten egg smell that comes at low tide because of the sulfur content in the marshes but I don't believe them.

The fight these days for sane people is made in the primary for the Democratic party or trying to grow a third party. The GOP has totally lost the plot and is full of fascists, ultra nationalists, evangelicals, mega capitalist corporate shills and a smattering of other lunatics. The lunatics are running the asylum.

Christie heavily increased the gas tax, which hurts working class more, and former PA Gov Corbett (also R) increased it for PA by a huge amount (because he didn’t want to increase taxes on fracking corps even tho that new and exploding truck traffic was tearing up the roads, not passenger cars). I can’t think of one republican that has ever made any noticeable affect on the decreasing of my tax rate. Can anyone else??? Trump supposedly greatly decreased taxes but I guess I’m not wealthy enough for it to have affected me personally.

Honestly this might sound crazy, but Atlantic City with a infant is actually not bad. We took our baby down a couple times before he was mobile. All the casinos are designed for wheelchairs, so pushing a stroller around is super easy and the boardwalk is massive. Also all the casinos have pack and plays if you want one from guest services.

i was 26 when i moved out. my dating life was non existent and i thought getting my own place would help. was renting a 1 br garden apartment for 1,200 a month with a garage. all my friends were engaged and getting married yet i was forever alone. my friends helped me move in and when they left it was so depressing. i woke up the next morning to the sounds of my upstairs neighbor having sex. it was a depressing adjustment but i started dating aggressively because i knew sitting by myself listening to my neighbor moaning wasn’t a sustainable future for me.

Only go to brigantine if the wind is coming off the ocean. If you go and the wind is coming off the land you'll get to meet an insect called a Greenhead. Those suckers hurt when they bite and I don't think an 8 month old would appreciate it. I love brig but those greenheads suck.

OC is a good beach and the boardwalk is great with families but it can get crowded unless you go further down past the boardwalk, definitely visit when your little one is older. Another good option is Margate/Ventnor. You will still need a beach pass and I 'never' went to the beach right on the border between Margate and Ventnor right where the boardwalk ends to avoid getting checked for beach tags when I was younger.
