Right. If the yellow car sees this happening and is a bro they can step it up or hang back. They should’ve seen this coming and if they were on their game would’ve been out of the picture by the time green car arrived. Not all drivers are playing 3D chess tho.

Red car needs à taking to.

a few reasons I've read recently:

-Warming water Temps push their migration routes and feeding zones to different locations, often right into shipping lanes. This increases vessel strikes. The NY metro area is one of the busiest shipping areas on the East Coast.

  • avian flu. It's known to be killing seals and dolphins; it's likely to have made its way into whales.

  • eating of and entanglement in plastics including lost fishing ropes, drift nets, and micro plastics.

Most infuriating are NYC livery drivers. Uber or Lyft with TLC taxi plates. I guess they spend their time in the city or outer boros where there is never enough open space - and they just don’t understand the unwritten rules of highway flow.

Cindy has always been about preserving the beaches for the property values f homeowners and success of businesses on the beach. She's never been interested in the environment itself.

She's an accidental environmentalist.

An organization I was working with in the 90s partnered with COA on some initiatives. We were very wary of her and the greenwashing she was providing to anti-environmentalists.

I used to pay 1100 in Clifton, large 1 bedroom garden apartment... 5 minutes from train station, 5 minutes from busses to NY. This was about 2-3 years ago.

My first big corpo job was 8-5, with a catch.

The department leader would walk the floor at 7:30am and 5:15pm to check on who’s putting in extra time.

I will never take an office job.

I was mostly going to my dates' homes or just working around my mom's schedule. It wasn't a big deal. But again I was only interested in casual dating at the time, I thought I was aromantic. (Surpising everyone including myself I am now finding myself in my first long term relationship well into my late thirties!) Living at home might be different if you're looking for a serious relationship but I wouldn't know.

I was always under the impression that the horizon line seen from the shore was actually only 3 miles or so of sight… aren't these proposed way further off than that and hence wouldn’t be visible at all… can someone please correct me or confirm this?

Ehhh I do this in the truck all the time. If there's a car next to me that doesn't get the hint that like I really don't want them directly next to me cuz dangerous, I'll hit the brakes.

Another trick is to just out your blinker on and then the person will speed up and pass you. That trick is my favorite one because it's hilarious. Someone will be riding next to me for like 2 miles at 65, I flip the left blinker on and within seconds they're doing 75 and then the line of cars behind them feel much relief.
