I don’t have a dog in this fight but Mikie leaving could allow the congressional district to flip back to red. She capitalized on Frelinghuysen retiring and the conflict between moderates and MAGA voters in the district. The new district lines help Democrats, but there are still a lot of moderate conservatives in the area.

As someone who is in Newark on a daily basis I would rather we be a governor less state than see Ras Baraka as governor. The man is only mayor because he kisses up to the poorer mostly black wards and he doesn't do much for the city as a whole he's been riding the investments and connections made by Cory Booker . The ironbound section takes care of themselves and the few times he's been there for events he's been booed.

i quit driving, indefinitely. i hadn't planned on getting my license for a very long time, and didn't care about keeping up with it.

i discovered that the only way for me to do this through MJ MVC is to get a printout of the abstract request form and snail mail it -> Trenton, then Trenton -> the abstract via certified mail. from there i'd take the abstract to the Minnesota DMV.

sucks it isn't very efficient; bringing them the abstract is just to get the appointment for my road test. that's a few ubers there ans back.

i'm not even sure how the hell i can take the road test without a car or knowing anyone in the state. 🤷‍♂️

The problem with Fulop is he is propelled by the part of the Dems that don't want to see a more moderate dem candidate. Thats why I think Mikie Sherill would sweep Fulop, Fulop is trying to catch a base that (if they new better) would never support him. When I initiated this poll, it surprised me to see Fulop perform better than people like Sweeney or Gopal.

You wouldn’t have to take the driving test or get the permit if you didn’t let your license expire. Never let your license expire, even if you are moving out of state. It can cause all kinds of issues.

You need to call NJ driver services and have them update your address and mail you the abstract. They might charge you $10. If you can’t get them on the phone, then you have to do the six month permit in MN. Both states are participating in AAMVA, which means that your records from NJ will transfer with you seamlessly. Once they get the abstract.

I've had luck using the Meetup app to find local groups and activities. I went on a really nice walk/city tour put on by my town's historical society, and there are lots of other walking/hiking groups I've seen lately.

Also, your situation sounds almost identical to mine and I'd love to get in touch if you're interested! I'm 22f, graduated college, moved to Essex county from the west coast last August, and don't have any friends/family in this part of the country. It doesn't sound like we're the closest geographically but my DMs are open regardless. :)
