More capacity, really helpful for the Newark-WTC route for AM/PM rush hour service. Normally they’re 8 cars per train set. Sometimes it feels like stations are crowded, even though service does come in every 10-15 minutes during that time (20 minutes off-peak). It’ll slowly be introduced this Thursday, and a goal to have almost all trains on the route become 9 cars by next year, and possibly accommodate 10 cars if needed/feasible. Some stations on the route are already seeing projects to lengthen platforms, like Exchange Place.

This is in addition to a 75 72 car order from Kawasaki that should be rolling out around now that’s been ordered around mid September 2022, increasing the PATH fleet by 20% and allowing more capacity. Ridership already is ~80% of what it was pre-pandemic.

Almost got hit in that same spot yesterday because someone decided it would be best to try to speed through a 1 car gap ahead of me while I had the green light

You haven't stumbled across a great new idea, you're asking for something that is literally helping to bankrupt people right now. Towns will NOT create their own funded regional EMS, they'll go with private contracted services or or services run by the hospitals and those are expensive. You say insurance will take care of it. Gee, great if you're insured, and if the EMS that picks you up takes your insurance.

Here's what happens when you get the paid ambulance services you think you want. I'll stick with our amazing volunteer services thanks.

Definitely thought about the Cubans when I saw this. I lived in S Fl for four years, and the conflictive dissonance of the Cuban expats is a regular discussion.

Those fleeing socialism living off of social welfare programs are the loudest voices.

They always seem to be well off business owners who are bitter and detached from life in their home country. They come over here legally because they have the money to pay for lawyers and all that to do it "the right way", and then resent people who aren't well off trying to come over. Same thing with the Cubans who think they are just going to waltz back in the country some day and take their former plantations over.

I had a gay friend cry himself to sleep when he was elected. You cannot get an example of better individual than my friend. As a matter of fact, he walked me down the aisle when I got married. That's when I got really, really scared - for his safety and well being. We didn't know if he was gonna make it out alive at the end of Bolsonaro's 4 years.

That's how bad this guy is.

If they are anything like a couple Russian Jewish and Cuban families that I know they don't actually give a shit about authoritarian or fascist politicians. They just know that they left a "communist" country and so any claim of "communism" or "socialism" and they back he actual fascists.

It's amazing that someone who fled an autocratic country could think the ACA is a step closer to us looking like Venezuela and not the UK but that's what I've seen repeatedly.
