Reply to Anyone know how much the dui surcharge is in New Jersey? If my husband loses his license for one year how much will it cost when he has to restore it? by Eastcoasthairstylist
For a dwi or a dui there 10000 in surcharges. But for a Refusal it's 1000. At 84 dollars per month

I’ve seen people driving around with bolsonaro signs on their trucks. I laugh, ideally point and laugh when I pull up next to them, and move on with my life.

$300–$500 fine $230 IDRC* fee $100 to drunk driving fund $100 to AERF* $1,000/year (for 3 years) surcharge $75 to Neighborhood Services Fund
These are the fees based on 0.10% BAC or greater. Between those fees, if he hires a lawyer, any alcohol courses he might have to attend per sentencing and any nterlock device fees. Expect to spend about 8k to deal with this.

I honestly have looked at jobs and businesses just so I wouldn’t have to deal with that absolute post apocalyptic hellscape they call Route 1.

And interlock is like $2.50 - 3.50 per day as well.
And who knows how much the insurance premiums will go up as well. I remember seeing a stat somewhere that a DUI conviction costs about $10,000 total in various fees, which it looks like OP's husband is about to find out firsthand.

Restoration fee is $100 and there is usually a separate alcohol program fee which is also $100

Everytime I see someone do this, the veggie tales "allow us to introduce ourselves" meme pops in my head.

Reply to Live Now (10:00AM): Governor Phil Murphy Makes an Announcement with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey - the launch of a nine-car PATH train at the Harrison PATH station. (3/22/2023) by EagleFly_5
Recap: PATH Debuts 9-Car Service On The Newark-World Trade Center Line - Port Authority NY NJ.
> The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will take the first step tomorrow in a planned major expansion of PATH service along the Newark-World Trade Center line. On Thursday, March 23, PATH will operate 9-car trains on the NWK-WTC line for the first time in its 100-year history.
> Gradually over the next 12 months, PATH will place increasing numbers of 9-car trains in service and, by the beginning of 2024, nearly all trains on the NWK-WTC line at peak times will be 9-car trains. The addition of a ninth rail car to trains during peak hours is part of an ambitious program to increase capacity and provide a safer, more convenient commuting experience for customers
> The increasing number of 9-car trains along the NWK-WTC line beginning later this year will utilize the start of delivery of 72 new rail cars later this year to augment PATH’s current operating fleet of 350 cars. The new cars will be added to service over the course of this year and 2024. The 9-car train is an essential element of PATH’s plan to increase capacity on the NWK-WTC line by 40 percent.

Seriously? This was not the answer I expected. It sounded from the article like one of those small, main street chains that all closed back in the day.
I've never heard of this, despite living near Paramus for decades.

They're still around in Hudson County. There's been one on Central Ave in Jersey City for a long time. Back when Woolworth and Jupiter Stores were there, too.
Several others are around the area, too.

You’re purposely using “immigrant” as a blanket term, when the reality is that there are very different classifications.
