Check out Tom’s river near island heights. Not IN island heights, yes homes are for sale there but holy hell are the expensive. A lot of homes are going for rent and for sale in the surrounding neighborhoods though. A lot!!! I promise there are rentals available out of the 55+ communities. It might just take actually driving around to spot them out.

I would actually love to be able to pull faking being old off bc it would save me so much money. For real the houses in the 55+ older communities are SUCH a good price and there’s so many of them listed, like probably upwards of 50 listings I could find so far for rent. It’s almost a shame that they don’t let younger folks rent.

Don't risk the 55+ thing. The neighbors will tattle, and what happens is that the HOA or leasing agency ends up calling the police, and even though you're not likely to be charge with a crime, it'll be a big hassle, and you could end up losing your security deposit and getting kicked out immediately.

Toms river will probably be rough, for finding an apartment, because it's too close to Seaside. You might have better luck looking a bit farther north or south.
