You may only be familiar with Clark, but I assure you, there are many towns in NJ like this. As an average white guy, the amount of white people who confess their racism to me is astounding.

Will see your Howell and raise you an Egg Harbor.

As others have noted, knowing where you need to go in NJ would be useful in providing you the best answer. It’s a large area with few transit options in more rural areas, particularly late in the evening.

Selective has been around for a while. Before moving to Florida, I had them for my house for over 20yrs. I had no issues and had low deductibles $500. They were even cheaper with better coverage than NJM

Really depends upon the town. Towns near NYC will most likely not due to the influx of people fleeing NY to live here.
Which area of the state are you interested in?

There was a place called Daniels Top-O-The Poconos. It was cheap and they didn’t give a fuck. Kids went crazy, adults went crazy. Kids were stealing drinks off the bar while the adults were dancing on the bar, buying $2 cigarettes from the old pull machines, getting lost in the woods, partying in “the cave” as we called it. The bunk room of the Eastern European girls that worked there, most likely undocumented. I recommended that place to everyone. I’ve been trying to find a new magic place like that. It’s now a Jewish camp.

Lived in Montreal for a year during college. Attended Concordia prior to it being absorbed into McGill. Best, and most enjoyable year of my life.

There are quite a few towns like this in NJ. Heck Hamilton has a large Hispanic and black population but the white section may as well have a fence in front.

I don’t know much about Clark other than while I worked in Westfield for a time. But what you are describing is pretty common. And possibly most so in Howell, another NJ town. It’s not rare.
