The congressional redistricting committee knows. That's why they made the 7th district wrap around but not include Plainfield.

it's been this way for a while now. it still has its rough edges, and honestly probably always will. but it's way, way, way improved over its nadir in the late 1990s.

You buy goods and services and you get mail so yeah you indirectly use the roads. BTW most road maintenance is paid via gasoline taxes. Having good schools assures you can get a good buck if you sell your house so you get some of that back. In addition property taxes are deductible so again you get some of that back. Not saying it's perfect but I understand it.

At least you didn't use the word "Boomer"....I give you props for that.
But, please, just because a person is older, doesn't mean we are afraid of change. I embrace change....change is good. I know a LOT of people my age that are not afraid of change and are rather progressive. I am 68...nearly 69....and I go to the beach once a year for an afternoon because I can't afford the cost any more than any other poor person. And I have more important things to worry about than what is in a kid's pants.....like surviving to be a year older, And yes....that is America, at this point.

When l was house shopping a couple years ago l was surprised to find some really beautiful, enormous houses in Plainfield. Lead me down a rabbit hole about NJ history. Google the Plainfield Rebellion if you’re interested. It’s also the birthplace of Parliament Funkadelic!

I’m sorry. I’m an idiot. There was someone else who listed a bunch of state owned natural areas, which I thought was you. My apologies.

Strathmere, not that it is much of a town being part of Upper Township in Cape May County.
