There’s loads of flea markets scattered around the state and you can get some good finds. Englishtown auction is huge, there’s also Columbus flea market that’s pretty big as well. People are always selling used books for super cheap.

I assume it’s related to the chemical spill on the Delaware tributary.

I used to work in Rockaway near the mall and very often I drove to Dover on my lunch break to get food. So many awesome places. I used to get a coffee and a guava pastry from a bakery. YUM.

I’ve never seen anyone patrol the beach like that, as someone who used to frequent the area. But maybe I’m wrong!

I don’t understand the comment. If you go onto the sand, the police ticket you.

Same thing over here in Eastern Camden County. I filled up a bunch of containers just in case. My wife struck out with regular bottled water but got some flavored water. Will we need it? No idea. But I'd rather get some now than when word gets out that we have to.

Sea Isle City is great! (next to Strathmere, which I adore, too)! Sea Isle has free music a couple of nights a week, in the summertime, outside next to the beach. A lot of fun little shops and restaurants. Very cute and old fashioned in many ways. So much fun!

LOL Deal is the furthest thing from “quaint” that I can think of. Ocean Grove is great, parts of LBI have their charm (the show place ice cream parlor comes to mind), cape may is great.

I think those homes built in the early 1900s that they restore are quaint.

Garwood is almost entirely single family homes. They just built new apartments but that’s like one spot.

My wife’s an immigrant lol.

It’s the same old story: In the mid to late 19th Century all the papists were arriving from Europe to destroy the nation and the WASP way of life. Nationalist Politics of the Know Nothings created fear and intolerance, and the Irish and Italian immigrant were relegated to tenement slums and the worst jobs. They quickly assimilated to American life and through hard work and close family and neighborhood connection build businesses, sacrificed to get their kids educated and filled the local churches. Does this all sound familiar?

Check graingers and other supply stores that sell to the public. Many carry water for the field workers they sell to and not many people think of them times like this. Worst case, online order from stores, since it's just the local area being affected you should have no problem ordering it for delivery.
