My parents let me and my friends walk the boardwalk and mall during the day when we were teenagers and never had a problem. Some people just live with too much fear in their lives.

This is why I gave up on bird feeders. We have a bear or two in the neighborhood and there are usually cubs every spring.

No it is so crappy there. Go somewhere nicer and more “beachy” like Seaside or even LBI.

It’s unfortunate how massacred this IP is. The graphic novel was such a fun read over years. The show is…not

I know you're generally better off safe than sorry, but black bears are really not something to worry about. They almost always run away well before you see them, and if they do stick around, they are usually just curious and leave shortly after they get a good look at you. The exception is a mother with cubs, but the cubs are usually very vocal and it's hard to just walk up on them for that reason.
A can of bear mace will serve you better than just randomly yelling the whole time you're hiking.

Oh yeah it totally makes sense that those two would team up. I wasted so much time watching that dumb show.

They are good at grabbing the headlines. Not so much in effecting actual change. You can change leadership without the drama.
I wonder what his political aspirations are.

Idk why you’re getting down voted, 2-3 hours isn’t that long. Look up family friendly things to do in AC. A lot of mommy bloggers write up things to do and you can find one that your kids will be interested in

I see kids that age at Steel Pier all the time fwiw. I wouldn't let them wander off the pier but for a couple hours it should be fine. Up the boardwalk is a different story.

that's crazy. Then again you're talking to someone that gets a little nervous when a deer is close by

Yeah they're not leaving these kids all day, it's a couple hours. Steel Pier is fine for that. There's an entire college dorm on the AC boardwalk now- while the reputation isn't entirely unearned it's not nearly as bad as it used to be.

Depends on the kids and how street smart they are. Are you from a city? Do they have a lot of independence typically? There's certainly enough to do on the boardwalk to kill 2-3 hours but if they're not used to seeing/handling panhandlers or being heads up while wandering around it's probably not the best choice.

Noooo not at all tbh I always found it pretty limited like aside from the lack of safeness it has none of those fun things that I’m aware of. If wildwood is too far, I definitely think Point Pleasant (jenkinsons boardwalk) 100%

I can't imagine the reality these scared people go thru every day. Feel bad they can't live life because they are too scared.
