Please. As a teenager I had free roam of the world. Kids never going to learn to fend for themselves if you never let them fend for themselves. A group of teenagers on the AC boardwalk are in no danger. Stop watching so much "news".

Yeah, it was cool to walk thru. The candy store was still open back when I was there. However, I wouldn’t want my kids hitting that place unattended. Gotta be people lurking there with no place else to go.

You must be living in a basement. I’m sure most have never been, but most have heard of it if you’ve taken the train, considering it’s the terminus of the Gladstone Line from NY Penn.

I'd be less worried about them getting mugged and more worried about some POS grabbing at them drunkenly and scaring them.

Put it this way. I played a show with my band a few years ago right off the boardwalk. Guy got stabbed and died next door, and one of my band mates got approached by two different prostitutes.

I don't know if it is helicopter parents as much as "getting sexually harassed or assaulted as a kid or teen sucks."

Go to Reddit's search bar, outside of this sub, just generally, and search "Atlantic City." After you're done throwing up, you will see what we mean.

You're better off going up to Seaside Heights amusement park if you want that kind of entertainment

Mine says this too. Being that this is Jersey I'm gonna say it could be tomorrow. Could be 3 months from now.

If New Jersey does not source any of their water from the Delaware River why are they even bothering to tell anybody in this area about it?

I had to mail my application in since I didnt have a pin. I included the filled out form + a copy of the deed to my old house to prove I was the owner. Im in "application received" and I assume it will be in that state for awhile

Bear mace is illegal to purchase in NJ. The little cans available are not suitable for a bear.

Today's media is based on instilling fear. They make more money that way. It's a problem. I've been going to Atlantic City since 1981 as teenager. Never had problems. And today is safer than ever.
