I had heard years ago that the semi frequent non weather related outages are due to that substation being in desperate need of upgrade by nearby residents are blocking it.
When I lived in Parsippany I think the only outage I ever experienced was about 10 min during the height of Sandy. But since moving here I have had several outages a year consistently.

Hmm maybe this is why the whales are beaching themselves. There’s probably a scarcity of plastic bags in. the ocean and whales are trying to come on shore to get the bags.

Now we need a law forcing the grocery store chains to cut down on their plastic packaging. It’s obscene how much unnecessary plastic packaging they use.

I lived in Bloomfield for a while and was so amazed whenever I drove past this building. It just screams "horror film." When I looked it up, I was surprised it was out of use for so long and only in one film. Honestly excited it's being celebrated in this film.
Oh and tangent... I hoped to find local legends and such when I researched it. But as I recall, I could only find accounts of former patients who had fond memories of excellent caregiving as children with infectious diseases.

Breakfast at Frank’s
Poke into the neat indie shops along Cookman (closer to the Rt 71 side)
Play vintage pinball machines at the Silverball Museum on the boardwalk
Walk the beach and enjoy the surroundings
Lunch at MOGO Korean tacos
Visit the distillery right in town, or take the 8 minute drive to grab some awesome beers at Kane on Ocean Township

It's about 90 mins from Newark to Wilmington , it's doable once or twice a week any more than that, and I'd just move to Wilmington or Philly. Philly is an hour by SEPTA from Wilmington or a hr from NYC on Amtrak...and much cheaper than living in JC.

As a wildlife enthusiast and hiker who spends a lot of time outside; yes, the plastic ban works.
I've seen less trash in public and in natural areas and forests of the state.

I havent travelled on Amtrak, but they are mostly on time while i was waiting for NJTransit train to NYC. Check the Amtrak website for tracking time. NJTransit and Amtrak share track(Amtrak owns the track) between NYC and Trenton.
From Jersey city you have to take PATH train to Newark penn and catch Amtrak. Try google map with transit option
