Most people haven't talked about the adoption process. Every shelter is different. Some won't even consider you without prior pets and want prior vet and references to confirm. Some will want you to have a fenced yard. Some may even want a house visit.

St Huberts is where I got my pup and they are much simpler. Quick form, meet dogs pay price and they will call to see how things are a few times over the next few weeks. Also their training is cheaper if you adopt from them.

Also just note that most of the shelters have pit mixes labeled as lab mix, gsd mix, etc. Pits can be great but not for everyone.

As far as training I recommend 2 books by Shay Kelly, Canine Enrichment and Dog Training and Behavior. If you are getting a puppy Canine Enrichment is a must IMO, it will give you plenty of ideas to keep your buddy busy and give you a much needed break.

Reminds me of my shitty BOE;

Teachers went over a year without a contract. The schools run through new teachers like water; they spend a year in the towns school system, then go somewhere where they're actually appreciated and paid well.

Apparently, one of the BOE members made a comment, "get in the boxcar," in regards to masking up during COVID, to a Jewish woman.

Town voted her out real quick after that one. Blew up a little too, on NJ.com. The mayor was quoted as saying "keyboard warriors," were causing a ruckus online, and "being mean."

That was literally the man's only defense.

God, does everyone's BOE suck?

What costs? I work on the industry so I'd be happy to answer questions but you don't know what you're saying. Even with a 5 figure per day cost it doesn't amount to much..especially when were talking about such a huge building like that. It costs high 6 figures to keep that place from degrading. If it was operating it would be millions a year to maintain.

Some shoots may be only a day or a week. We're really not talking about that much money in the grand scheme of such a big building

When I’m driving I always make sure to stop for pedestrians. It is mind boggling how many people will get annoyed at me for stopping, or how many I witness try to actually mow people down as you said.

I will say I was pleasantly surprised in long branch a few days ago, when I had to cross ocean ave on foot and three separate delivery trucks stopped for me. I was using a cross walk, not at a light. And the trucks forced everyone to stop behind them on either side of traffic to let me cross.

But I also know that was a very rare hospitable moment and sadly most drivers aren’t that courteous to pedestrians.

Lol really? I'm dying to be able to go to the shoreline weekend and a great sculpture garden the next. That's the reason to move to NJ. You got so many cultural and recreational amenities within easy reach. The only noticible gap in recreation is truly great remote nature type recreation.

I’m 99% sure this guy is either a troll or just a bad liar. Looking through his post history, he posted a “leaving NJ was the best decision” post 209 days ago where one comment he made stated “we had to live in Montclair so my in-laws could help with the baby.” 170 days ago he posts on relationships that he hasn’t met his wife’s parents. I know in-laws aren’t always parents but that seems suspicious. Timelines are confusing too - 2 years ago he posts that he’s 30M but last year he posts elsewhere that he’s 35M. I’m not an expert but I don’t think you can age 5 years in 2 years timespan. All this internet sleuthing to say I think he’s a liar trying to rile people up and he can’t keep his story straight.
