For real. It’s gotta be a blessing and a curse. I’ve read some pretty interesting stories from former lottery winners - it’s not all sunshine and rainbows for sure.

Useful idiots exist in every country, it seems.
Glad the German government and grand majority of German people are smarter than these protestors.

Makes total sense, the more guns that are generally out there, legal or otherwise, the more shootings there will be.

You're required by law to reveal your name in California.

Reply to comment by DragoonDM in Report says donors ‘turning away’ from Taliban-ruled Afghanistan by burningphoenix77888
If a warlord has one ton of food he refuses to share to his starving people, and outside individuals donate two tons of food to the starving people, the warlord now has three tons of food and his people are still starving.
This is the challenge with donating anything to a country controlled by a group like the Taliban.

They called it a militia. They didn’t have a standing army. They didn’t have military academies, the only people who would get a military education were wealthy aristocrats.

So is the standing army. They’re all volunteers, all of them take an oath to defend the constitution.

Why do they release the name of the winners?
Now every schmuck would be coming after him with frivolous lawsuits.

Total any utter fear knowing the country knows my name and possibly my face. Friends, family, neighbors start coming at you. Perhaps previous romantic partners come out and claim abuse and try to sue you. I dunno I'd be paranoid as fuck.

Yeah… that’s not how science works FYI.
I have never used stones and I am also not dead, so….
I can’t believe you are touting stone usage in the same thread you are talking about antivaxers! They are literally the same, disbelieving science and trusting in your feelings and beliefs.
Edit; bring on the downvotes from you stone and essential oils crowd.

I wanna say it was a few years later. 2012 was the first year I took it, and it was probably 2013/2014 when I got the time travel version and I was like “huh, I wonder what they’ll do for next year!” and, well… we know how that went lol

Reply to comment by poquito_kale in Swedish Deputy National Police Chief and Regional Police Chief found dead amidst investigation on gross misconduct by FinneVirta
I was just reporting on the conclusion by the internal investigation.
She didn't go the the Police Academy, but she was qualified as a police officer through internal training programmes. She has Candidate of Law degree and a Bachelor's degree in economics and was the CFO of one of Sweden's seven police regions before the appointment as chief of intelligence at NOA. It doesn't look like she was underqualified, but I'm sure many would have liked to see a "real cop" in the position.

That would be the case if reddit didn't just do the same thing last month when Texas lost power due to ice on trees. There were people in the comments claiming it happens up north but it's always on layer that day or rarely the next day.

The time travel version was added a while ago if I recall. Maybe around 2012. I do not remember.

You can download the PAMR study at the bottom of the link. From 2017-2019 in Louisiana #1 cause was accidental overdose. Then it was homicide. I wasn't looking at articles, I was looking at actual data that the hospital reports to the state of Louisiana. I currently work and have worked in hospitals in Louisiana and closely with the state. The data from 2020-current does support the statement I made.
