People absolutely do that. A few weeks ago I was almost taken off my bike when someone ran a red light because she leaned all the way over into the passenger footwell space to retrieve her phone from her purse while she was still moving towards the intersection. She was still going ~10mph and took her foot off the brake entirely and put her head below the dash. People take their eyes off the road and hands off the wheel for like ~10 sec to fiddle with their phones, which is a lifetime while traveling at 100km/h.

This is an important thing to think about with international trade. Any time we import things that we could produce ourselves, we are putting our labor in competition with the other country's labor.

If we want our workers to have good wages and rights, then we should only be trading with countries that provide that to their workers.

Trading with a bunch of countries that use child labor, trash wages, and even slaves is driving down the value of our work.

The Arabs were led by their noses by the Russians who claimed Israel massing their military to attack the Arabs. The Arabs failed to do due diligence and double check. Unlike Pearl Harbor America was not preparing for war against Japan. The Arabs were in battle formations because they were going to attack. Should the Israeli's have waited for an impending attack.

Likely a mid air collision with an object, strong likelihood it was a large bird. I worked for a different medical aviation company and they had a similar type of wreck with a bird collision. Bird crashed through a windshield on the pilot's side killing the pilot or disabling him, and the whole thing crashed. There may be a news article somewhere to dig up. I can't remember exactly where it happened though, somewhere in the northern midwest of the US.
