Protocol is to sweep the floor systematically as long as they do not hear active gunshots. This is because in the time that the witness saw the shooter on floor 2, they could have doubled back to the first floor. It does nobody any good for officers to beeline to the 2nd floor, and get ambushed from behind from a shooter lying in wait. There is also the potential for a secondary shooter.
I'm a cop, and when we went through active shooter training, this is how we learned. The scenario I went through involved a simulated shooting in a small office building. Same things were involved. We made a 4-stack and started sweeping. At the end of a long hallway we heard shots get fired so we began to bypass rooms and casualties, to rush to the source.

And never forget they decided to shut down production on the Edge, a proven model with a huge following, to go all in at the Ontario plant on EVs that STILL aren't matching the output they had and profit potential of the Edge...it's pure chaos at Ford these days which is heartbreaking.

Ford is imploding. It's embarrassing to watch them get bullied around by dealers on profit margins after talking tough about markups. They keep raising their prices on EV cars after staking their entire company on getting EV costs under control. Farley is a dipshit.

I post anti-American sentiment all the time, not because I’m a troll but because the USA’s systems affect policy around the world and these systems are horrible for most people. Example USA is exporting its healthcare system around the world, this has a polarizing effect on public healthcare systems, like Canada, Britain and Germany, now many specialists previously seen in public practice in hospitals can only be seen in private clinics, where services that were free in a public practice now must be paid for in a private practice. So the tendency now is to defund public services to save costs but for society as a whole healthcare spending increases rapidly. Some people see this as acceptable as service availability increases with cost if you can afford it, if you can’t too bad. The essential export is profits over public good.
Many Europeans and Canadians have anti-american sentiments yet they are our allies in many areas and an affront to reality in many others. Nothing is black and white or brown and woke, nuance is everywhere but it’s in this nuance we can understand each other.

Yeah I reserved an "order spot" back in May of 2021, thinking I might need a new car by the time they became available. $40K was way over what I've ever paid for a car but I liked the idea of using it as a generator if house power went out. Got my 'time to order' email yesterday and to get the one of want would be $83k 🤯 Put my down payment and trade-in value in an auto loan calculator and my payment would have been $1,300, that's more than my mortgage!

>eliminate the anything that could possibly be perceived as a threat as quickly as possible. Period.
Hence "good guys with guns" being shot in the back by police while chasing active shooters.

Nashville responded 100% by the book. Make entry with a team of 4 and sweep systematically each room, bypassing locked doors without keys. Keep pushing in this method until you find the suspect. If you start hearing gunshots, begin to rush past ALL rooms until you engage. Any injured or deceased should be noted on radio but otherwise passed over as your job is to eliminate the threat so EMS can get in to do their job.
These officers were brave and are the example of what our officers should look like every day across the country. Yes, there will always be fear. You don't get to not do your job because you are afraid though.

Exactly. I can barely keep My composure when you saw the bloated out body of a child in a pink jacket on the body cam, but in that situation you are specifically instructed to ignore casualties and eliminate the threat. It makes sense, it man that's got to weigh on you mentally. The responding officers did their job. Although we really shouldn't be in this situation to begin with.

I appreciate you being in a smaller car being so tall haha but ya on my prius the back has the most space I think but the bolt I felt the front was a good amount of leg room compared to mine but it's just the compactness vs my prius c that deters me from being a fan of the bolt.
Edit: yall are so weird for down voting this lol

Used to live there, when I was a kid, in a gated home within a gated community that had armed guards at the front.
If guns made us safer, why did they need all of that and why did they install panic buttons 2 feet off the floor on most walls of the house?
So glad I left Texas.

Also the not shooting any of the kids, or getting them shot asking them where they are, was an improvement over Uvalde, too.

The Internet is pretty amazing and bewildering at times...we basically have a virtually direct connection to malicious actors all over the world, and they're actively knocking on your door. If you ever plug something directly onto the public Internet without locking things down or changing defaults, you'll have a bot sitting in your vty in minutes...

Nope. Because the population is heavily Cuban (and other Central and South American nationalities) and they fear democracy courtesy of horrible past experiences.

I own a Bolt, I’m 6’1”. And I completely disagree, head doesn’t even scrape the ceiling. Although I have an EUV not an EV. But I have more space in the front then my wife’s minivan or my dad’s truck.

And they should not have. People should have heard those screams of those kids. People should face the reality of the horror we allowed and continue to allow these children to go through when something like this happens.
