That's a dangerous line of thinking that can ironically lead to extremism and eventually fascism. People vote the way do for a variety of reasons, and all politicians are fucked in some way or another(personally I think Republicans are clearly more fucked up), I'm sure you can find untoward comments made by liberal politicians that were later forgotten, because that's how it goes unfortunately, people forget and move on, focusing more on policy/propaganda rather than some random statement a politician makes for better or worse.

I can verify he's a real person since his father was the principal at a school I went to. I'm not going to link his website but it's just his name .com without the II. As far as where his claims come from, I have no idea. That's what makes the article so Onion-like. No one's heard of this dude and he's pushing the excellency thing like it should be obvious.

No idea. I don’t follow american politics too closely, but this is like saying all muslims are terrorists. I don’t see how you guys can have a serious dialogue if you and your democrat friends use these childish and - quite frankly - infantile rhetorics. That goes for republicans too by the way. The sooner you realise this, the better.

What you're talking about is a salaried employee.

As far as an hourly wage is concerned, it's just the best system of measurement for most jobs. It's based on the idea that you pay for what you use. If I use 30 hours of your time, I'm not going to pay you for 40.

Would you pay a 500 dollar utility bill if you'd only used 100 dollars worth of said utility?

Trying to figure out what the "his excellency" stuff is about and it's rendering the article a bit suspicious.

> According to Roberts II’s website: “Rollan Roberts II is an American businessman, government advisor, and 2024 Republican candidate for President of the United States

The only place google turns up the phrase American businessman, government advisor, and 2024 Republican candidate for President of the United States is this article, and they don't actually link to his homepage of his. No other photos of him in this getup either. RIS for it just turns up a bunch of historic military dress uniforms.

ETA:

https://rollanroberts.com/

No photos of him doing cosplay here I could find. The origin of the title is explained though:

> He was given the African diplomatic designation of His Excellency as Peace Ambassador to Nations from the International College of Peace Studies.

"International College of Peace Studies" smells like a sort of religious circle jerk that exists solely to offer "training" to members who belong to an affiliated church, with an impressive sounding name slapped on it to try to buy some credibility.

Hope Wilbur wins.

Sounds like the neighbor just doesnt like the sound of a roo, with the distance of the houses in the video they arent hearing him at all inside and only when going outside or opening window or door would they hear him.

This no diff than dog barking, construction, gunshots, lawnmower, etc. If its not over certain decibel level, they cant hear it or its not a noise complaint.
