Dude is capitalism embodied.

It's funny except from the perspective of the people on the island who were exploited for this rich white asshole's grift.

Its that guy who set up a motion capture on his fish bowl to play pokemon games, he did it previously for pokemon sapphire. While doing the new violet, the game crashed to the switch home page while still accepting inputs and the fish managed to open the Eshop and buy something

Yeah, that's how you inspire investor confidence.

It's about more drama content for the stream rather than getting money back.

You’ll be alright, if you tackle it from a different angle.

Who in their right mind would pay for this?

I read it because I was curious about the same thing. The article doesn't say. My guess is she has brothers/sisters that the money will go to, and this child was expendable. There was also this:
> Jain families are sometimes said to encourage their children to enter the monkhood to enhance their relatives' social standing.

When I was 7, I had these weird pencils my mom got me bc they were cheaper than normal pencils. They weren't completely wood, sort of plasticky and when you sharpened them, instead of wood shavings and flakes, it would form a spiral that looked like flowers, sort of rose like.
I sold those flower shavings to my fellow classmates. Then I'd buy ice cream at lunch. That was a good week.
