Using different language to describe these human remains can also distance them from the depiction of mummies in popular culture, which has tended to "undermine their humanity"

Right..... But digging their bodies up and showcasing them for a fee so people can gawk at them is... Not worse than calling them mummy?

Except they’re not, which you’d know if you read the article:

“Shriver, who revealed last year that she had an inappropriate relationship with her coach Don Candy when she was a teenager, told The Age in an interview published Sunday that bringing the hammer down on coaches who sleep with players is as important as cleansing the sport of those who use performance-enhancing drugs or attempt to fix matches.”

That’s literally the first sentence of the article.

It’s heavily in favor of the coach when the athlete is underaged, which is what this is about:

“Shriver, who revealed last year that she had an inappropriate relationship with her coach Don Candy when she was a teenager, told The Age in an interview published Sunday that bringing the hammer down on coaches who sleep with players is as important as cleansing the sport of those who use performance-enhancing drugs or attempt to fix matches.”

I remember that. PlayStation became synonymous with gaming console the same the word xerox became synonyms with photocopier.

There’s heaps of examples, another one is yo-yo , the corporations HATE it because when brands become integrated into modern day vernacular it fucks with their copyrights and patents.
