A new commitment's what he's thinking of; you wouldn't (legally) get this from any other guy!

It was reported a while back that he gets nothing from it only google does. If you sat and watched the whole original upload he would get something but short clips and all the re-uploads get him nothing.

That's because the agreement was for something like a few notes of the original song, not interpolation. Interpolating is literally rerecording the same song essentially, instead of sampling like Verve had alleged in their agreement.
Besides this lawsuit isn't even about the song itself, it's about them having someone essentially impersonating Astley. Not the lyrics themselves.

Occupied? There's no contesting government claim on the land.
And right/wrong has almost nothing to do with the level of violence. Terrorist movements only exist where there is outside funding for the terrorism. If oppression were the factor then Western Sahara would be a bloodbath--but since it's Muslim vs Muslim with no outside backers we almost never hear a peep about it.

I didn't know that but I don't have a problem with that. I favor shall-issue permitting of those who are trained. (Think driver's licenses.) I do **not** support guns for the untrained.

>saw very large main at a horse farm that left a crater big enough to hide a school bus in the ~30 seconds it took to shut down.
I used to build houses. Heard an excavator hit a water main in a cul-de-sac. Not sure the size but it made a very big hole very quickly. Took a few minutes to find someone with the proper tool to shut water off for the entire street. Good thing it was at the top of a hill. =)

I work for a beer distributor and we sell the malt beverage with whiskey flavored ones.
That version is non distilled and made by a malting process that mimics the flavor but is not distilled at any point during the process so it can be sold in grocery stores and gas stations for states that not allow wine and liquor to be sold outside of liquor stores.
We are also no allowed to sell the malt ones to liquor stores. They’re only allowed to sell cider, wine and liquor in liquor stores here.
Also, because of the process, they are required to charge a deposit on the bottle, whereas the distilled ones don’t. At least in NYS.
This seems like they were selling the malt process ones next to the distilled one and someone tested them.
They’re also different ABV. The malt ones are 15(?)% and the distilled ones are 33% so there is also a clear difference on the label for that as well.
I’m not sure how these are sold in other states but in NY, they’re distinct products sold in different locations and the labels spell out what they are.

People buy the small bottles to mix with their soda. At one gas station here there is a sign that says you can't mix alcohol with the soda while inside the store.

Yeah and the Verve cleared to sample the Orchestral Version of the Last Time, they still were sued and lost songwriting credits

This doesn't belong here - it wasn't a random "shooting", it was a terrorist attack targeting civilians, including a 14 y/o boy. More guns to army-trained Israelis to fight random terrorist attacks sounds like a good idea. In fact, more than half of terrorist attacks between 2020-2023 were foiled by armed civilians.
