Isn't it insane we let privately owned arenas and massive event spaces move anywhere they want in New York City almost entirely public-funded at nearly tax-free forever?? We expect more financial fealty for poor and middle class New Yorkers than from people who have more personal wealth than they could ever spend in a lifetime.

Do you actually know TeamMisha to call them a privileged elitist? One can argue that everyone living in Manhattan are privileged elitists trying to keep the working class out. But that would also be an inaccurate generalization.
For the last 40 years, I can remember the MTA always crying poverty while the quality of mass transit has remained roughly the same. Sure new subway cars and new ways to pay fares, but general reliability hasn’t significantly improved.
Relying on mass transit is not always practical and parking rates are exorbitant. Also who gets to decide how much traffic is considered congestion? You and like minded thinkers?
To be truly fair, why not eliminate all vehicles in Manhattan except for commercial vehicles? That includes Manhattan residents to give up their cars as well. But should you decide to keep your car in another borough, maybe you pay an extra storage tax.
Finally, if congestion pricing goes through, then are you willing to pay an additional tax and surcharge on all goods and services that are shipped into your area?
Of course most of this rant is slightly facetious but I hope you get the point. One city one fare used to be a model. To charge premiums to drive into certain neighborhoods is elitist by nature. To those who want to live in a big city, this is the price you pay.

There are poor white people. Also, fake plates isn't a crime committed by poor people. It's a crime committed by lower middle class people. Poor people in and around NYC don't normally even have cars.

Any recommendations for getting to Mount Vernon from NYC?
Would love to get to one of these games but seems like a bit of a hassle without a car.

After the NYC bed bug nightmares of the past few decades I'd assume offloading a used mattress on anyone in NYC is an impossible feat.

While everyone else's explanations are pretty adequate at explaining what a co-op is one thing that everyone left out is the crazy maintenance fees, these tend to go up every year. I've got friends who have paid off their units but their monthly maintenance fees are more than what some people pay in rent. Every co-op board is different but they're also a lot harder to sell should you choose to move out. Some co-op boards can also make your life difficult. YMMV.

Wow amazing! Could you share some basic info on how you found all of these? I never know how to find events happening near me. What kind of sources did you use? Really appreciate the effort put into this :)

Yeah, Vornado said as much on their most recent earnings call. I think they're still going forward with renovations at One and Two Penn Plaza. Pretty sure they'll continue demolition at Hotel Pennsylvania too

You really think the population that actually has generational wealth, and can afford to pay toll fees everyday is even gonna waste time going to some shady fake plate dealer? Or even bothering knowing what it is? Reality check, follow your own evidence.... poverty = crime.

This is a great list, and like some other Redditors commented great variety. I'd like to add 1 item:
Where: Perrotin Art Gallery, 130 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002
When: March 3 to April 15
What: three new exhibits:
- JR (my favorite, this alone is worth the trip IMO)
- Nikki Maloof
- Sophia Narrett
Link: https://www.perrotin.com/exhibitions/upcoming/new-york/4
P.S.: Redditors, please add your picks, I will be returning to this post again.

It's not easy!! My starting point is a very long list of bookmarked calendars that I go through one at a time. Then it becomes a giant Google Search problem, where I'm trying different dates, boroughs, and event types until I've got something for every day.
