>remove all residents from the hospitals. What do you think the result would be? The answer will tell you plenty about your claim that they aren't adding much value.
Yes in the short term. We already know that hospitals would rather hire traveling nurses for 3-4x what a hired nurse would cost.
We already know that in plenty of industries where the interns and first and second year workers do lots of work, that's it's mostly used for.training purposes anyway and the work isn't very valuable.
And look. All I did was repeat what hospitals have said and talk about why the system exists in the first place.
I'm telling you there's a chance that this is reality.

Other than Stone Street, and not just bars (so not Stout, not Killarney, etc.) you also have Giardino D'Oro, Mezcali, Hey Thai, Blue Ribbon Sushi, Industry Kitchen, Tacombi, Reserve Cut, and Felice. Then you have the UrbanSpace that opened up recently with lots of food options (and a Top Hops craft beer/bottled beer place!)
Oh and a Whole Foods opened up near Wall/Bway.

That express bus is amazing ! I went with my gf and we took the express bus from FiDi to Dyker heights in Brooklyn and it was unbelievably fast. It would have taken us way longer if we would have taken the R train .

Seriously. I'm so sick of these and mopeds. These are the two groups of people that make cyclists look like assholes. A device that allows you to go 30 MPH with no effort is not a bicycle. It's a motor vehicle and ought to be treated as such. Most people can't even sustain 20 MPH for an extended period on a bike, yet e-bikes bring the bar for idiots down significantly.

The unaffiliated "teens" robbing stores and attacking random people on the street are WAY more dangerous than the B/C/LK when I came up.
Even just the concept of "truancy" is forgotten, now. Nobody is going to "bust" you for being out of school, smoking weed on the street, blatantly robbing a store, or beating the shit out of an old woman these days.
The evidence of our empire's collapse is apparent to Native New Yorkers more than anybody else in the country can even begin to comprehend. We are so unbelievably fucked.

Most of the time the snow melts pretty quickly in Manhattan. The streets and sidewalks are warm because of the subways and the basements. I would be surprised if there’s any accumulation at all. Watch out for the slushy corner puddles, though, they’re always deeper than you think.

No repercussion to skipping school besides it reflecting on your report card. Most kids didn’t cut school entirely, instead they cut specific classes or left school early. You would have to scope out the different exits to the school to find the one that isn’t guarded by a security guard. Or if you didn’t care, just run past them. They never chase you.

Reply to Feds not coming to MTA’s rescue under GOP House, Schumer says by newzee1
The MTA has been way too comfortable for way too long and as a result get away with way too much. There needs to be a serious shake up. There can't be this looming threat of service cuts every time the MTA doesn't get its way financially. Voters need to raise holy hell and send the message to the politicians that this is NOT acceptable and certainly not sustainable. If any private business were run like this it would have gone bankrupt and the execs would have all bent sent to jail.
