Considering that NYS, along with many states in the US, has been an at will employment state where you could be fired for any reason whatsoever at any time (barring protected classes, of which political preference isn't one), we've long since crossed the Rubicon on being like Putin's Russia by your logic.

To put it simply, your employer can fire you for wearing the wrong color T-shirt or because they don't like the buckle on your belt if they so want to.

Hmart prices for many items are a few dollars or 25% more compared to even in Manhattan Chinatown so it's fine if you can afford it especially the meats and seafood.

Being East Asian I still definitely go occasionally if I really need certain items at a moment's notice but other than that I get better deals ordering from Hmart delivery and Asian grocery apps.

Surprised I haven’t heard of this one, I’ll get it downloaded. I’m kinda relying on the hope that my familiarity with the London Underground will help me with navigating NYC’s subway system. It helped a lot in Milan and from what have seen it’s not too far different.
