They didn't change the design to be easier to use. They changed it to improve aerodynamic drag (less drag = less power needed = more battery range).

I used to work in the Flatiron, and the building was a mess on the interior and an absolute fire hazard (we had a firefighter do a drill, and he was like..."just pray to God there isn't a fire"). Everything was coated in dust constantly, no matter how much it was cleaned. No idea where it came from. And the plumbing/heating...

$190 million feels right for how much work is going to need to be done for it to be livable, let alone luxurious.

I worked in offices in there from time to time and it seemed fine to me… but I maybe am used to old buildings.

They actually do issue new licenses. It takes money and attorneys and engineers to navigate the process. Better to ask permission than forgiveness.

Wife is on the board of a community radio station that started as a pirate radio station. It took work, visits to DC and attorneys to transform a hobby into an entity that serves a community. Now they have a call sign and their frequency is protected.

No mention in the article about the wattage or bleeding into KISS FM 105.5. They should have formed an LPFM station.
