Therein lies the contradiction though.
The neighborhoods got safer because certian people got pushed out (not all).
So it’s a double edged sword.

Paris still has them in spades. All along the champs elysees and more. The grand streets should have them still imo. It adds so much

Same here in Philly. Cobblestones are round stones. We have brick street pavements. Those are bricks.

I usually only use it when I'm on the run and forgot to make a meal -- it's a good quick to go thing, and I usually get something extra that I can have for breakfast the next day or can give out to someone who needs it.

Gosh, NY Post why do you think that is? Because poor people get crushed financially first? And then wealthy swoop and pick up the deals?

Let’s be honest here - there is a very good chance of ending up with some rather “icky” characters when dealing with the 0-30% AMI crowd that’s typically mandated by inclusionary zoning.

I didn’t see this on the L at 1st Ave. Cozy in the booth still.

Absolutely. Build along LIRR routes. But descendants of the NYC white flighters who setup camp on Long Island will fight tooth and nail to prevent what the fled moving to their town.

>the more, the merrier
Then Scarsdale really has nothing to worry about, since they're not being asked to make housing for anyone less than a millionaire (ickyyyyy!)

Let’s go ahead and convert those booths into public restrooms. Wouldn’t it be great having access to relieve yourself and retain your dignity while out and about?

I ran upstairs one morning from the platform at 42nd st-PABT to tell a clerk to call the PD after a guy was attacking people. I had to go through the turnstile to get back to get the subway to get to work. Clerk screamed at me "you must pay again!!! No free ride!!" Missed the train explaining to him I paid already and ran up to get help. Ridiculous.

30th street in Phillys main hall is still full of benches…surprisingly not filled with homeless either.
