I’m 32 and have 250k in retirement (Roth IRA and trad 401k).

A few friends have been telling me that I’m contributing too much since I max out both contributions each year. (I’m not doing the mega backdoor, though it’s available to me.)

They pointed out that if I stop contributing, I’ll still have 3 or 4 million by the time I retire (rule of 72).

Is this true? I can’t imagine needing more than 4 million in my late 60s.
