Yeah so my parents got me a credit card.

I’d like to close the account. I wasn’t the one who initially created it and the only information I have on it is the card they gave me? I could ask them to close the account but they might refuse or just straight up say they’ll do it and then not do it. Is there anything I can do with the limited info I have?

Call the number on the back of the card. You know your name, DOB, SSN, address. And since you have the card, you also know the account number (it's the card number).

Is this your card? Or their card with you as an authorized user?

Look on the back of the card, there should be a phone number. Call them and ask to be removed or close the account if you don't want it.

Not sure your parents credit, but if they added you as an authorized user and they have good credit it will help your credit score.
