I’m late on the rent and currently have late fees added. The last day that I have to pay before I get an eviction is the 15th. And yes, they will actually evict you the first time unless you have been renting there for years. My friend who also lived here lost her apartment because her boyfriend forgot to put her money in the dropbox while she was away. He said usually evictions don’t happen that quick so he thought he somehow had more time. I know they won’t actually put me out on the 15th but i am trying to avoid leaving all together.
I took my car to CarMax yesterday and they offered $1,200. I bought it for $4,000 but the car has some problems now so I feel like the price is fair. But honestly any price right now is fair to me.
My account is currently over drafted. It Is in the negative 1 hundreds. My bank allows you to overdraw a little as long as you have a certain amount of money. So even though the $1200 isn’t enough, if I have it I can pay my rent. I’m not currently working but I do have a job offer. I start training on the 23rd of this month. It’s new and they haven’t finished building it yet. No the job isn’t walkable but i can get there. When I start this job my first paycheck will allow me to pay next month’s rent.
I know some people might want to know how I paid the rent before or why did I get an apartment I can’t afford. But I did have a good job at first before an incident happened, and now I no longer work there. That was a little while ago. My people say that it is a bad idea to not have a car, but I say it’s an even worse situation to not have a place to live. I don’t know what else I can do. What do you guys think?
Update: I’m still getting message requests related to this post so I figured I’d update. I asked my apartment for help and they waived the late fees. I still have my car. It is in the shop but i didn’t sell it. I got the money for my rent. My phone works now someone on here sent me money so I could have a working phone. God bless that person they helped me the most. Also thank you to some for advice.
