20th*. It’s been that way for like 2 weeks. Whatever is going on below the surface has to be nutty because they’ve torn up the road there like 3 separate times in the last year or so

Yeah I be avoiding that intersection during the day… it’s crazy how you have to drive all the way around it just to continue north on 20th

they should just make it a round-about. safer for cars, safer for pedestrians, easier to work on.

Lack of accountability at all levels of the city; starting from our Mayor, down to Police, trash cleaners, streets division, and what not, yet they always come up with new positions that are supposed to make everything better and of course never do. And of course this spreads to contractors who can fuck up any intersection, sidewalk or street w/o having to worry about enforcement and fines. Honestly, Philly lives not because of its goverment, but in spite of it.

10th and mt vernon they just dug a huge hole in the middle of the street and blocked it with a big orange barrier and then left

*technically* you could drive around it but effectively it just closed off the street, and they didn't really notify anybody?

and then eventually someone just moved the barrier and the hole was still there

I have shopped at that Acme, and taken the Route 2 home afterwards, the buses must be taking some sort of detour.🚍🚏

Speaking of this area, does anyone know if anything is happening with the old Fatso Fogerty's place?

sounds about right, not sure why you got downvoted.

just replaced a 130 year old, 100-year lifespan drain pipe in my house this year after it cracked and was pouring grey water down through the central shaft of my house and into the basement. so that was fun. we discovered the issue when we had a black mold infestation in our bathroom for no discernable reason. the entire line needed to go.

not a gas line obviously, but same idea. after a certain amount of time, the whole thing is garbage and you can't just patch it. doesn't stop people from trying.

This has been so infuriating that it was just left like this for days. The road work going on from 18th to 20th has been nuts, I've never seen anything like it.
