Buying online can be a pain in the ass without being able to physically test/hold them, and big box stores only sell shit. Is there any place in the area that sells quality brand, enthusiast flashlights?

Bruh get with it r/flashlight
Lol r/flashlight is the real deal. There's a lot of great stuff on there to get started and get an idea of how powerful some of these tiny handheld fuckers can get. It's addicting to have a fucking lightsaber in your hand
In that case, may I interest you in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and antique rug collecting?
No thanks; they have been dribbled on. Bum-Tissssssssss 🤯
It’s an important tool in the advent of a home in vision at night time. I know I have my light and pistol ready every night at bed time
Oh interesting. I was thinking it was for camping lol.
lf you're really into it..... https://www.peakbeam.com/
ln Edgemont, on West Chester Pike, between rts 252 and 352
Haha that's awesome. Maybe a bit overpowered for my needs but I'm having fun looking at their stuff.
Pretty cool people that run that place. You're right, those things are not toys. Not sure if they're still up, but there were some youtube videos of guys using their products out in the desert "somewhere"
Maybe LL Bean or REI?
I was recently at an LL Bean and didn't see much, I'll definitely have a look at REI though for sure, thanks
There is a lot that REI doesn't carry. If the flashlight manufacturer makes flashlights for guns or other gun-related gear, they won't carry it.
What an odd policy.
They're anti-gun and presumably they consider this guilt by association. It is silly as flashlights on/for guns help people clearly identify someone and avoid accidental shootings.

Dream Boutique probably has them for sale
Those are fleshlights.
REI, Bass Pro Shops, Cabella’s would be a good start, but they don’t have a lot of good ones. Some of the tactical supply places that serve law enforcement and gun shops will have some, but likely only carry a handful of brands. I’d call around before making a trip. r/flashlights might have some ideas too.
For what it's worth if you're looking for a light for serious use, those brands are the only ones you'd really want to consider.
Go to a gun store. Most of them carry high quality high lumen stuff meant to be mounted on rifle, meaning the electronics are strong enough to handle recoil and not fall apart.
I've noticed auto part stores have strangely large flashlight selections. Not a hobbyist so I've no idea if they're high-end or just cheap crap, but they probably list their inventory on their websites. I'm thinking the chains like autozone, pep boys, etc.
You should check out facility suppliers like Grainger or Graybar.
Bass pro. Look for tactical lights like streamlight or if you want the best Surefire
I think Streamlight is in the Greater Philly area, right?

Very well made flashlights. Excellent variety.
I really thought this was a euphemism for something, and well, TIL.
r/flashlight my brother
I think you're mostly stuck with online sales. It's a pretty niche market. Have you checked out Emisar before? They ship from China but it's a pretty smooth process.
Yup, I'm looking to get myself a K1 and KR1 after this first purchase :)
If you're up for a drive, The Fire store in Coatesville had great selection.

TIL there are flashlight enthusiasts. God I love people's niche interests.
