Also the older gen z crowd. They oldest are mid-to-late 20s now.

There are more people transferring from the local to the express than waiting for the express at walnut/locust. Have you ever held the door open for someone at a store? That's how much time this transfer is making people suffer.

Out of curiosity, what's the current projected cost?

Did you read the actual article? Or do you just post this in every thread about Philly?

Sorry that happened to you. And people wonder why others don’t want to use public transportation.

Excuse the ignorance as I'm from SJ (15 min to KPHL).
Is there no rail that goes to the airport? That just seems wrong, for lack of a better word.

>Why such a misleading title?
Because anti-urban clickbait is this tabloid's MO.
This is the same place that published a headline saying Philly was going to hire people who couldn't swim to be lifeguards.
This is not a newspaper.

Except none of the places mentioned are shuttering their stores in Philly

I'm shutting down east passyunk to traffic permanently between Snyder and Dickinson.

Exactly. Honestly, I appreciate the guy who has pushed for the Roosevelt but I’m now to the point where I’m worried it’s just distracting from better enhancements and we will get nothing built

I actually think the feds will end up denying matching funds for the project. The cost effectiveness is so abysmal it's almost absurd. 4500 rider increase for 2 billion?

I'm pro both projects, but you do have a point about the decline. The drops in population in NE has been significant and pretty fast. On one hand, this could maybe help the areas around the stations, or it could end up having declined significantly by the time it's done and end up with worse areas around it like what happens with much of the BSL and El

In my hypothetical fantasy situation, the positions are funded in perpetuity by some dead rich guy's grant.

Same reason the millennials are now flocking to the suburbs. They’re tired of being in a crime ridden city and now they’re all thinking about having kids, they need to get out.

Thousands of linemen with trucks and directional drilling rigs put all the electrical and telephone wires underground where they belong. Aaaahhhh.

No ideia, the job only says 4k monthly and it's from AIESEC so they didn't share who is the contractor in the job description, unfortunately. I asked their members for more details, but I'm without answers at the moment.
Yet I thank you for your help. I'm not expecting a big place because I don't have children or wife. A small room with bed, window and a place for a PC is enough in general in terms of luxury.
Where could I search for rents before actually going to Philly? Craigslist?

It’s crazy how many workers they have on those projects, how much concrete is used (never mind if it’s an already new sidewalk and you could totally replace one 3’x3’ square and get the same result), and how often they STILL don’t meet the street grade seamlessly.
People complain about the lack of a jobs programs but this clearly is one - for white guys from Jersey.

Infinite resources? Pay off everybody's student loans, car payments, credit card bills and prepay their rent until the end of their lease. Duh.
