Second this if you’re looking to visit another city.

DC, Baltimore, NYC, Boston, and the other random smaller cities in between are all only a few hours on Amtrak from 30th street. Gotta love the northeast corridor.

We took the water taxi around the harbor and got off at random stops, walked around, got good ice cream. Went to the aquarium and looked at the boats. There are some great restaurants and historical stuff.

I complain about Philly because I’ve lived in a lot of other cities and know it could be better. Every place has its pros and cons. I wouldn’t be here if there weren’t a lot of good reasons to raise my family here.

I don’t think that’s true. There is still so much infilling to be done in Philadelphia (look at how many parking lots we have across the city).

While we would all love to see every new build being a super-tall, I think we need to fill in those low density gaps first.

Things go more vertical when there’s less horizontal space. There’s still a lot of horizontal space here.

I moved from a small town to north Philly 4 years ago and couldn’t believe how many kids got to roam around, go to the park, go to papi store, usually by themselves! It was like how I imagined kids in the 1950s got to be. It’s nice to see that kids have that type of freedom in such a big city.
