I move to add an amendment stating that "he has his whole life ahead of him".

You do not wants cops in charge of libraries. That's like a horse in a hospital.

The free library is amazing. The kid got in Jules Verne, so we are taking a day off work/school to go look at the first editions at the central branch! Anyone can do this (just make an appointment) and it makes me so happy!

I had my perfect Philadelphia day one Sunday in Autumn back in the 80's. My GF (now wife) and I lived in Kensington. We got on the El at K&A and took it down to Girard Ave. We got on the trolley (I don't remember the number) and rode to the zoo. We spent a couple of hours at the zoo and then walked to the Waterworks, to the Art Museum steps, down the Parkway and got back on the El and went home. Back then Center City was fairly deserted on a Sunday but it was very pleasant all around.

ah man, it's the twisted teas that gives them away. I guess Temple is the furthest "into the city" the NE folks will go. Most of my family is in the NE and when you so much as mention dinner in the city, they act like you suggested Manhattan

This will never make r/PublicFreakout and the people that saw the original footage and talked shit about philly being a lawless hellscape full of braindead assholes will go on not knowing that justice was served.

I'd agree with northeast Philly IF folks from northeast Philly ever wanted to leave the northeast

Well sheet. Like usual, I’m wrong.
Still, it’s big for the area.
18 stories and multiple 7 story building. Thats a lot of house.
I thought the PHA houses were getting torn down.

>What would you call forcing people to perform labor?
In this context? I call it partial restitution

Garden Court is west of this by one or two blocks and is 12 stories and PHA towers at 44th street are 2 blocks away and are 18 stories.

I tell them that constantly 🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe then we could have libraries open on weekends instead of cops on fake sick leave working second jobs and living in Montco
