Helping to clean up the city you fucked up by being a dumb asshole seems like a pretty appropriate way to start getting at restorative justice. It’s a way to make reparations for your shitheadedness.

I had to do community service as a kid one time when I did dumb shit. I had to do it at the police garage which was a waste of time because I just learned to dislike the cops more. But if I had to do something in the park I vandalized I guarantee you I’d have a better appreciation for the park.

Jim Thorpe/Poconos is good.

Underrated, imho, is Atlantic City. Hard Rock casino is dope, waking up, grabbing a starbucks and walking out to the beach is a great way to start the morning. Walk the boards for a looong time. Just walk. Come back, crack a drink or visit Landshark Bar & Grill, its got a wood cabin vibe on the beach, good for day drinking. At night the boardwalk isn't too bad, can definitely walk up to Ocean Casino or Resorts to change things up, play $20 here, $20 bucks there on slots. I don't gamble but don't mind vibin and riding the wave. I stopped down for a few nights the last 2 years and honestly had a blast. Lounge Bar in Hard Rock is great, live music, I met some other people doing basically the same thing. Most first timers too.

Its only Big because of Zoning Overlays and lack of investment in West. Garden Court is also getting a 7 story addition above its garage. The PHA towers will be redeveloped and rented as mixed-income project as they should be. https://whyy.org/articles/philadelphia-housing-authority-westpark-complex-construction-closer-to-starting/ https://www.westphillylocal.com/2022/06/10/construction-of-220-unit-addition-to-garden-court-plaza-begins/
